Better known as the Amur Grape that is an ornamental variety grown its spectacular Autumn colour. A very vigorous climber with large, 3 to 5 lobed leaves of thin texture. Has a lush green colour through Summer then turns to various shades of yellow, orange, red and burgundy in Autumn. Plant in a sunny position where soils are fertile, moist and free-draining. Hardy and will tolerate dry conditions. Deciduous. Any pruning that needs to be done is best left until foliage has dropped. Will need to be grown over a structure of kind such as a pergola or trellis.
