Nashi Nijiseiki is a popular variety from Japan. Produces round, medium sized fruit with smooth, yellow-green skin. The flesh is crispy, sweet and juicy with a slightly aromatic flavour.
Nashi Shinseiki produces good sized fruit that is round in shape with smooth yellow skin. Flesh is tender, sweet and juicy with a mild flavour.
Nashi Hosui produces large fruit with golden-brown russetted skin. Flesh is sweet and juicy with a good acid balance and a fine texture.
Nashi are best grown in a sunny position where soils are fertile, moist and free-draining. Water well during warmer months and when in fruit. Grows to approximately 5m x 3.5m.
