A hardy, evergreen native, with distinctive dusky, pinkish-brown or chocolate brown foliage, intensifying during cooler months. Has yellow, star-shaped flowers in spring and small red berries in autumn. Tolerates dry, windy exposed sites, moderate frost and is ideal for growing in coastal locations. Can be used to create hedges and screens.
Grows to about 3m x 2m if left untrimmed.
