Produces clusters of Azaleodendron flowers that are bright pink in colour and emerge from early to mid-spring. These are unusual as they are a cross between a rhododendron and the Kurume azalea. Plant in either full sun or part shade where soils are rich in humus, slightly acidic, moist and free-draining. They are a hardy, evergreen shrub that grows to about 1.2m x 1.2m.
