Drimys winteri – pb6.5 (30/40)

Also known as Winter’s Bark. Drimys winteri is a large, spreading evergreen shrub or tree with glossy, oblong leaves that are glaucous beneath. Produces terminal clusters of fragrant, creamy-white flowers in early summer. May be planted in full sun or part shade where soils are fertile, moist and free-draining. Suitable for growing in coastal locations, may get to a height of about 6m.
