Commonly known as the Butter Knife Tree. Regarded as either a large shrub or small tree. Has dark green foliage whose shape resembles that of a butter knife. Large panicles of fragrant, candle-like flowers appear in early summer. Plant in full sun or partial shade and grows in most types of soil that are free-draining. Tolerates light to moderate frost and is suitable for growing in coastal locations. Evergreen.
