Known also as Hairy Leaf Bergenia. Has large foliage with the surfaces being covered in fine, downy hairs. Short spikes of pale pink flowers start to appear in Spring, then become darker as they mature. A good groundcover for sunny or semi-shaded areas of the garden, however they do tolerate full shade. Requires moist, free-draining soil. Hardy, deciduous.
