Also known as Turutu, Has deep purple berries on 40cm to 50cm stems after a summer bloom of small, star-shaped pale violet flowers. Hailing from Lord Howe Island & Norfolk Island, it is an evergreen cousin to Phormium and just as tough. They are completely drought tolerant once established it only needs an occasional water to keep it looking pretty. Windy conditions and salt spray are no problem, making it a great coastal option. Prefers well drained soils.
