A long-flowering, double Dianthus producing masses of rich, velvety-red, rosette-like flowers in Spring and right through Summer that are highly fragrant. Has blue-green foliage that forms neat and tidy compact mound. They are hardy, drought tolerant and flowers may be used for cut flower arrangements. Removal of spent flowers will encourage new flowers to emerge. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are fertile and free-draining. Evergreen perennial.
Grows to approximately 30cm in height and up to 40 cm wide.
