A handsome medium sized apple thought to be one of the parent’s of Cox’s Orange Pippin. Has a pale yellow-green background with a red to orange flush, some russeting and cream coloured flesh. Has a good aromatic flavour like that of Cox type apples and is good to eat fresh or for cooking and drying. Late season. Would benefit from being pollinated by another variety of apple such as Cox’s Orange, Granny Smith, Bramley, Discovery and Ellison’s Orange.
