Nashi Nijiseiki is a very popular variety from Japan producing medium sized fruit that are rounded with smooth, yellow-green skin. The flesh is crisp, sweet, juicy with a slightly aromatic taste. A good eating variety.
Nashi Shinseiki produces round, medium to large, yellow fruit with crisp, creamy white flesh having a mild, sweet flavour that tastes better when tree ripened. Fruit may hang on tree from four to six weeks in good condition. Self-fertile.
Plant in a sunny position where soils are suitably watered, are fertile and free-draining, may be grown as an espalier.
