An eye-catching form bearing double, deep crimson-red flowers from early Spring that standout from the glossy, dark green foliage. Has a bushy, upright growth habit with new foliage being a bronze-green colour. May be grown in either full sun or partial shade where soils are moist, acidic, rich in organic material and free-draining but needs to be sheltered from cold, drying winds. Responds well to being trimmed and may be planted out to create hedges or screens.
Grows to between 1.8m and 2.2m both in height and width.
