Festuca novae-zelandiae (Fescue Tussock) is a native tussock with fine, tawny coloured leaves and an erect habit. A very hardy tussock naturally found in the dry, windy plains of Otago and Canterbury. Very attrative in the garden, especially when mass planted. Its neutral colour combines well with many other plants. Grows best in dry, poor soil in full sun, but will tolerate some moisture and a little shade. Evergreen.
Grows to approximately 70cm in height and width.
