A stunning tuberous perennial with long stems and large, heart-shaped foliage that are blackish-purple in colour and divided by bright green veins. As the plant matures, each leaf may grow to between 80cm and 90cm in length. Grows well in both full sun and partial shade where soils are rich in humus and moist to wet. Provide shelter from strong winds and protect from frost.
May grow to a height of 1.5m and upto 1.2m wide.
