A large, bushy deciduous shrub noted for its rich maroon-red foliage in Spring that gradually turns to deep wine-purple in Summer before becoming red in Autumn. Produces large, feathery plume-like flowers in late Spring and into Summer. Suitable for growing in full sun or partial shade with average to fertile soils that are free-draining. Drought tolerant once established.
Grows to about 4.5m both in height and width.
