A hardy, compact, rounded shrub with dark green, needle-like foliage. Has a mass of double, red flowers emerging in mid to late Spring that last into early, mid-Summer and attracts bees. Grows well in either full sun or partial shade where soils are average to fertile and free-draining. Tolerates exposed sites, periods of drought and they are suitable for planting in coastal locations.
May grow to about 2m x 1.5m.
