Nikau Palm. An elegant palm,with straight smooth stems. Crowned with pinnate or feather-like rich green leaves. Lilac cream flowers in summer and the fruit that follows is often eaten by the native pigeons. Young plants require shade and moist soil. Tolerates wind and is hardy to frost. If growing in containers, roots need plenty of space and must be kept damp.
