Asclepias fruticosa, Swan Plant – Pb5

Swan Plant – A perennial, slender, erect shrub of up to 1.5 m. The inflorescence hangs and comprises up to 10 flowers, flowering Dec.-Mar. The waxy cream flowers develop into silk plumed seeds. The plant, when damaged, produces a bitter, poisonous sap.
