Better known as Manuka. A hardy, evergreen native that is useful for creating screens and shelter for other plants. They are fast growing, tolerates dry, poor soils and cold temperatures. In Spring, masses of small, single white flowers appear and these attract bees. May be grown in exposed, coastal locations and have been used by bee keepers in the production of honey and they have been used in traditional medicines. Evergreen with aromatic foliage.
