Rewarewa. A handsome, native evergreen tree with a slender, tapering growth habit and tough, deep green foliage that may be up to 15cm in length. New growth has felt-like undersides. Reddish-brown flowers begin to appear in October to December, which attracts Bellbirds and Tui. Plant in a sunny position in average type soils that are suitably moist but free-draining.
May grow to about 12m x 3.5m.
