This densely branched shrub or small tree is grown for its beautiful pink blossom which appears from early to mid-spring. Found growing wild in China. It enjoys a sunny position in moist but well-drained soil. Prune every year, cutting stems back after flowering to a strong pair of buds near the base.
Grows to between 3m to 4m in height and width.
