An easy to assemble raised bed kitset using untreated naturally durable Macrocarpa timber. The Kit includes 2 x 2m long 200 x 60mm sides and 2 x 1m long 200 x 60mm ends. The assembled frame measures 2m long by 1m wide by 200mm high. Extra depth can be achieved simply by placing a second assembled frame on top.
These are very solid garden beds made from structural Macrocarpa at 200 x 60mm which ensures they will last for a long time. Can be oiled or stained to increase longevity, longer than 15 years.
Assembly Steps:
Choose a flat area
Lay out your garden bed on flat, level ground for best alignment.Position the long boards
Stand the two 2m long boards upright, 1 metre apart, so they form the long sides of the rectangle.Fit the end boards
Place the 1m long boards inside the ends of the 2m boards, forming a box shape. The end boards will sit between the long boards.Screw or nail the corners
Secure each corner by screwing through the ends of the 2m boards into the edge of the 1m boards at right angles. Use 2–3 screws per corner for strength.✅ Check for square
Ensure all corners are flush and the bed sits level. Adjust as needed.
