A reasonably hardy evergreen shrub best known for the sweet, aromatic fruit that it produces. Has a rounded growth habit with grey-green foliage and red flowers that emerge in late Spring to early Summer. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are evenly moist, fertile and free-draining. Mulch soil around the shrub to help protect the shallow root system. May be planted out and trimmed to create hadging. Tolerates drought and salt spray.
Usually grows to about 3m x 2m.
