Pixie is a dwarf version of A. Bloodgood. Foliage has a greenish-burgundy colour when it emerges in spring, then gradually becoming a darker burgundy in summer and finally turning to a scarlet- burgundy in autumn. Plant in a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds where soils are rich in humus, moist and free-draining. Grows to approximately 2m.
